Worth having ready
- Find the model and serial plate before you call. On a microwave it is usually inside the door frame or on the back; on a dishwasher, along the edge of the door; on laundry, behind the door or under the lid. Reading it out decides which parts go on the van.
- Say what the machine is doing in plain terms, and when it started. Hums but will not turn. Spins but will not heat. Ran fine until Tuesday. Any code on the display is worth reading out character by character, because it narrows a board fault straight away.
- The online booking page takes the appliance, the town and a time slot without a phone call, and it is the right route outside normal hours. It is an external page, so you will leave this site to use it.
